Troop 47 Committee Oct 23rd Meeting Minutes Attendees Louise Bill Deb Mark Glen Adam Brian Pat Cecilia Agenda Deb provided the troop financial report to the committee. Troop popcorn sales will end by the Oct with popcorn pick up scheduled for Nov. 15th. This date will conflict with a scheduled Troop campout, Glen took an action item to coordinate with Melvin to ensure Troop popcorn is picked up. The committee approved next years troop schedule, including the removal of the troop's normally scheduled summer scout camp during June 2004. The decision to eliminate our local summer scout camp visit was based on the troop's decision to attend Buffalo Bill's Scout Camp in Wyoming for one week during July. The visit will include a possible rock climbing, white water rafting and backpacking high adventure. Glen took an action item to publicize the scout's financial obligations and to make the necessary reservations. Scout Master reported two Eagle awards (Glen's and Brian's) were received from the Scout Office and the need to schedule Eagle Court of Honors. The Committee approved a motion to purchase troop Philmont tee shirts at a cost of $375.00 The Committee approved a motion to purchase a new troop record keeping data base program at a cost of $69.95. This new program will provide a better tool for the Advancement Chairman to track the advancement progress of each Scout. Bill has agreed to write and submit an article to the local paper about the Troop's recent Philmont trip. The next Troop Committee Meeting was scheduled for Wednesday November 19 7:00 PM at the bank.
